Eric reached out to us because he was eager to rekindle his passion for hockey after a 20-year break. This journey is particularly significant as it marks his return to the ice following a stroke only a few years ago. With each session, we have witnessed remarkable progress in his skills, demonstrating continuous improvement every time he laces up his skates.

Update | Lesson #3:

Eric is truly making significant strides in his skating abilities and on-ice balance. Throughout our sessions, we have witnessed remarkable progress in his timed laps. Beginning at approximately 40.00 seconds, he swiftly progressed to 38.68 seconds in just the second week, and most recently achieved an impressive time of 37.00 seconds. It is truly gratifying to observe such evident improvement. Moreover, his growing confidence on the ice has translated into enhanced overall skating proficiency, enabling me to introduce more challenging drills each week.

Update | Lesson #4:

I am pleased to report that Eric's progress has been nothing short of remarkable. Week after week, his unwavering commitment to excellence shines through as he continues to set new personal bests. His improvement across various skills, from his stride to his timed laps, has been both impressive and consistent. Notably, his lap times have seen a significant drop from 40.00 to 35.02, a testament to his hard work and determination. It is truly motivating to witness Eric confront challenges head-on, constantly striving to surpass his own expectations. Additionally, his advancements in balance have been notable, as he now confidently maneuvers on a single foot while lifting the other—an achievement made even more impressive considering his past health struggles. Eric's journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and dedication in the face of adversity.

Lesson #5:

Today marked another significant step forward in Eric's skating journey. He recently signed up for his inaugural season in the Novice Adult Co-ed Hockey League (NACHL), showcasing his commitment to improvement. Eric's dedication is evident through his regular attendance at various skate sessions, including Coaches Ice, NACHL Conditioning Night, and Private Lessons. The results are starting to show, with Eric successfully cutting nearly 10.00 seconds off his Timed Lap times, achieving an impressive 31.25 seconds today. His progress, from mastering basic form to tackling more advanced skills, is truly coming together. I am eagerly anticipating the next chapter in Eric's hockey development and where his journey will lead him next!

Lesson #6: (Final Lesson in Package)

I have to express how enjoyable it has been to witness Eric's progress during our last 6 lessons. With dedication and hard work, he has shown remarkable improvements across multiple areas. Initially clocking an average time of 40.00 for his best lap, Eric finished the 6-lessons with an impressive time of 29.30. This significant advancement is truly one of the most remarkable improvements I've seen in such a short period. Not only has Eric enhanced his skating skills but also made strides in achieving some personal goals he shared with me. I am excited to continue working with Eric in his upcoming second session of lessons next week, eager to see his continued growth on the ice.
