Sophia is a chemist and proud Detroit Red Wings fan hailing from Michigan. She first stepped onto the ice at the age of 5, taking lessons briefly before pausing her skating journey. As she matured, she enjoyed skating with friends and bonding over Detroit Red Wings games with her family. In her free time, Sophia indulges in watching Last Airbender & Avatar with her brother, paddle boarding, painting, and reading. Beyond hockey, she finds joy in horseback riding, soccer, and snowboarding.
I first began working with Sophia in March of this year, and I have been thrilled to witness the significant progress she has made in her skating abilities. She dedicates herself to private lessons with me on a weekly basis and actively participates in the Waukesha County Adult Learn to Play Hockey Program. Her consistent time on the ice is undeniably paying off, as her improvement is becoming more and more evident with each session.

Sophia has truly been excelling in her performance on the ice. Her dedication to regular skating sessions, participation in DKH Coaches Ice programs, and consistent off-ice conditioning have significantly contributed to her overall progress. Recently, her most notable advancements have been seen in her balance, speed, and hockey-specific conditioning.
